Hammocks are available in a range of material options to suit your need. All have their own unique benefits. The majority of hammocks are made of cotton which is an ideal hammock material - soft to the touch and extremely comfortable. Like all cotton material, it does require care and is best brought inside overnight and on rainy damp days. If you are more inclined to leave your hammock outdoors all summer or want a lightweight travel hammock - HamacTex® and Parachute silk respectively are your best bets.
Cotton is perfect for soft comfortable hammocks. Our cotton is pure - non-recycled cotton which is tearproof, absorbs moisture easily and is very soft to the touch.
Organic cotton is the environmentally friendly choice in cotton. It has all the benefits of regular cotton, along with the added benefits of protecting the people cultivating it and the environment without using chemical substances. Soft to the skin and perfect for products intended for children and babies.
Maybe you find it a drag bringing your hammock inside regularly or want to lay in the rain, if so our artificial fibre - HamacTex® is the solution for you. HamacTex® is UV-resistant and water-repellent, so that the hammock can be left outside all summer in all conditions.
If you are a traveller or tramper and would like to take a hammock with you, parachute silk is your best friend. Parachute silk is made of nylon trilobal, which is extremely light and compacts up very small.
