Hammock Shop (www.hammockshop.co.nz) a trading activity of Mexican Hammocks Ltd owns and operate this Website. This document governs your relationship with Hammock Shop. Access to and use of this Website and the products and services available through this Website are subject to the following terms and conditions. By using this Website you are agreeing to all of the terms and conditions.
Free delivery is provided on all orders and is sent via various courier providers and NZ Post. Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or public holidays will be dispatched the following business day. The only exception to the free delivery rule is for off-shore New Zealand Island deliveries including Chatham and Stewart Island and hammock stands to Waiheke Island which may incur additional delivery charges.
Orders should usually arrive within time frames indicated below. Please check your tracking detail email if you have not received it within a reasonable time frame.
Quotations of delivery times by Hammock Shop are made in good faith but are estimates only and Hammock Shop shall not be bound or liable for such quotation or delivery delays.
Signature and authority to leave courier options are available during checkout. Please be aware if you select authority to leave (ATL), your order becomes your responsibility once delivery has been made to your address. Hammock Shop will not be liable for theft or negligence as the result of this delivery option being selected. Of course we'll do our best to help where possible should issues arise.
Damaged, Delayed or Lost
In the unlikely event of a goods being damaged during transit, we must be informed of this as soon as possible along with photographic evidence and within 3 working days of receipt for us to lodge a reimbursement claim with our courier.
For delayed packages, the best course of action is to contact the appropriate courier company with your tracking details as they will have the most up to date information and can action further investigation if necessary.
For packages that have been lost by a courier company, a replacement item will be sent once we have confirmation that a package is lost from the appropriate courier company. At our discretion we may send a replacement sooner for extended delivery delays.
Our shopping cart is secure and protected by SSL encryption. This is a method of ensuring information submitted through our web site is secure and cannot be accessed by unauthorised users.
Whenever purchasing on the Internet you need a safe and secure system to enter your credit card details through. That is why Hammock Shop uses the world's leading online payment providers including Shop Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay and Afterpay. When making payment there is no requirement to have an account with any company.
We offer a two-year guarantee on manufacturing defects on all hammocks* and 1 year on all hammock stands. Defects that arise due to improper use or weather influence (sun, wind or rain) are not considered warranty cases. The guarantee does not cover normal wear or defects that occur due to misuse.

Returns and exchange items must be in an 'as new' unused condition with original packaging and labels intact and hammock stands must not have been assembled to be eligible for return.
Should you just change your mind or not be happy with your hammock, if you decide the hammock you bought is not the right size or style for you or a gift receipt doesn't dig the colour I'll be happy to have it returned and exchanged for another. Keep the packaging and as long as you do this while it's nice, new and unused it's all good.
You have 30 days to get in touch to return or exchange your product. You can send back your order for any reason during this time, but the return shipping cost is yours to pay.
I do not charge a restocking or repacking fee on returns, however, free delivery is provided on the original order only, and delivery costs incurred will not be included in the refund amount unless there is a fault with the goods. Refunds will also be less the credit card or Afterpay service fees incurred (2.7% & 5% respectively) as these are non-recoverable costs. Please be sure to check the hammock dimensions and your space to ensure you won't need to return your hammock.
Returns must be in an 'as new' unused condition. Be sure to keep the packaging and labels so these can also be returned if you decide to go down that route. Hammock stands must not have been assembled to be eligible for return. Returns and exchanges cannot be accepted with no or damaged packaging (as is the case with any store brough product).

You can send back your order for any reason during this time, but the return shipping cost is yours to pay for returns and exchanges unless the item is faulty.
Free delivery is provided on the original order only, for exchanges the cost to send an exchanged item back to you is at your cost and you will be informed of and requested to pay this amount at the time of exchange request.
Returns are only eligible for New Zealand based orders. We do not accept returns from overseas orders.
Refunds will be refunded back through the original payment method and from May 10, 2021 for order cancellations the refund amount will be less the credit card processing fee of 2.7% which we are unable to recover.
Orders may be cancelled anytime before they have been dispatched (1 pm weekdays). If a purchase has already been dispatched this must be returned to Hammock Shop prior to an order cancellation and refund. As per above; refunds will be less 2.7% due to credit card processing fees that we are unable to recover.
Hammock Shop is a New Zealand owned and operated company trading under Mexican Hammocks Ltd. All transactions are charged in New Zealand dollars.
