Maybe instead of 'About us' the title should be 'About me'.. Not that I want to talk about myself (too much), but I'm sure you'd at least like to know a little bit about who you are buying your next hammock from. About me - is more relevant I guess as I am it; no fancy pants marketing, finance, or sales department - I have it all covered! I'm here to sell you hammocks - good hammocks, excellent hammocks actually. I love hammocks and believe hammocks should be comfortable, beautiful and quality made. That's what I stock here; hammocks that will give you that perfect afternoon nap, that feeling of relaxation and that sense of escape.
Along with the support of my wife and family (who are always on hand to lend a hand should things get busy) - two horses, half a dozen goats and a dog, and based in rural Tauranga, I'm here to answer your emails, pack your orders and generally ensure you are happy with your new hammock. Not sure who you emailed or talked to on the phone - it's me! Don't know your order number or account name - no worries - tell me your name I'll get you sorted.
While this is a new hammock venture (2014) - the online market is not new to me having sold online through existing online stores since 2008. I have efficient and effective systems set in place (and always have my smartphone beside me whilst enjoying hammock time) to ensure you will receive replies to your emails within hours and purchases are dispatched via courier the day they are made.* With a wealth of photos, product videos and information I strive to provide you with a real sense of what you are buying along with an easy to use hammock shopping site so you can be quickly relaxing like the happy people in the photos.
All hammocks and products carry a two-year guarantee from material or manufacturing defects. To get the most life from your hammock simply follow our instructions and care guide and you're sure to get many years or quality hammock use. Many stocked hammocks are pure or organic cotton, as such these are not 'leave outside and forget' hammocks - bring them in at night and protection from moisture is recommended. If you want something to stay outside all summer then look for the hammocks made from HamacTex - this is a fast drying, UV resistant yet soft to the touch material.
If you decide the hammock you bought is not the right size or style for you or a gift receipt doesn't dig the colour I'll be happy to have it returned and exchanged for another. Keep the packaging and as long as you do this while it's nice, new and unused it's all good.
Whenever purchasing on the Internet you need a safe and secure system to enter your credit card details through. That is why I use the world's leading online payment providers; PayPal, Eway and Shopify Payments to process all credit card payments. When making payment there is no requirement to have an account with any of those companies and your details are highly secure. They may ask if you would like to set up an account with them after payment but - that's entirely up to you. Alternatively, payment via Internet banking or bank deposit is an option at the checkout - you just need to wait for payment to clear, but it's pretty quick these days often the same day or overnight.
